The Department of Fetal Medicine at Virinchi Hospitals offers care to pregnant women and their fetus. A team of physicians specialized in maternal-fetal medicine take care of a wide range of maternal-fetal conditions to ensure better health for pregnant women and their to-be-born babies. The specialists ensure better care for both high-risk and normal pregnancies by evaluating pregnant women throughout the course of their pregnancies, labour and delivery.

We have a team of neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, maternal-fetal medicine experts who deal with high-risk pregnancy cases and babies experiencing complicated health conditions.

Fetal anomalies are diagnosed with the help of sophisticated ultrasound or sonography, echocardiograms and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS). We have put in place our genetic counselling services to offer support to the couples who are willing to consider testing procedures like amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (to detect chromosomal disorders like Down Syndrome or other genetic conditions like Cystic fibrosis).
