Dr. Vijay has held prestigious positions as Senior Consultant, professor and Head of the Department in various renowned institutions, such as Mamatha Academy of Medical Sciences, Srikara Hospital, and Alluri Seetharama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences. His career is marked by significant contributions to teaching hospitals, where he has trained numerous medical students, surgical registrars, and nurses.
After earning his qualifications in cardiac and thoracic surgery in 2003, Dr. Vijay underwent advanced training at the prestigious Heart Hospital on Westmoreland Street, Central London, under the ODTS scheme. Upon returning to India, Dr. Vijay joined Shri Durgabhai Deshmukh Hospital, where he performed over 500 pediatric cardiac surgeries under the Child Heart Scheme, in addition to routine adult cardiac procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and valve replacements.
