Description

Haemorrhoids  also known as piles, are swellings containing enlarged blood vessels found inside or around the bottom (the rectum and anus)

Symptoms

  • A hard lump may be felt around the anus
  • After going to the toilet, a feeling that the bowels are still full
  • painless bleeding
  • anal itching
  • Mucus discharge
  • soreness, redness and swelling around your anus

  • Chronic constipation

Lifestyle management

  • Eating high fibre diet
  • Excersicing regularly

  • avoiding medication that causes constipation
