VATS is a minimally invasive surgical procedure using a thoracoscope fitted with a high definition video camera for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. In this procedure a small incision is made on the chest wall to create access for the thoracoscope and other surgical equipment to enter into the chest area and perform procedures with high precision and accuracy while proving the surgeons with high quality video assistance in real time.
