Constipation in children
Constipation can be quite common in children but it is not a big issue as it is usually a temporary condition. The causes are usually the same as in adults but mostly children tend to withhold the urge to have a bowel movements. This causes a change in the daily routine of the children and leads to constipation.
Common health issues associated with constipation
When the condition of constipation remains prevalent for quite some time, then you may suffer from stomach ache which in reality is due to gas. Passing gas is quite normal but it presence of gas accompanied by constipation becomes painful. It can be embarrassing at times. The pain eases after expulsion of the gas.
Many cases of stomach ache are in fact caused due to gas but if you feel pain on touching your belly, then it may be due to other issues (regarding that you must consult your doctor).
Acid indigestion is also known as acid reflux. It’s a normal condition which everyone faces at some point. When the contents of the stomach go back to your esophagus, the condition is called acid reflux or indigestion. The drugs used during the treatment are likely to cause constipation.

Constipation when accompanied with IBS can be extremely annoying for the person suffering from it. It causes recurrent abdominal pain and alternating diarrhoea and constipation. In this case, the treatment is aimed at improving the bowel movements and the accompanying symptoms. Self treatment is not recommended in case you suspect to be suffering from IBC -C; chances are you will worsen your condition in the attempt of treatment.
