Description

Causes

  • Blood test for anti-VGCC antibodies
  • Electromyography (EMG)
  • Nerve conduction velocity test (NCV)

Treatment

  • Cannot be cured, syomtoms are treated
  • Plasmapheresis
  • Steroids
  • Immunosuppressant drugs
  • Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment

Medications

  • 3,4-diaminopyridine (DAP)
  • Pyridostigmine tablets

  • Have a positive outlook
  • Be in constant touch with the doctor
  • Take properly prescribed medications only
  • Lead a healthy life
  • Do not take an overdose of the steroids
  • Keep checking with the doctor to get updates on the medicine doses
  • Monitor the symptoms
  • Report to the doctor immediately in case of any irregularity
