Dr Eshwar Chandra is a Consultant Radiologist in the Department of Radiology at Virinchi Hospitals. He has 21 years’ experience in radiology. He has worked as a Professor of Radiology at KIMS Hospital and Professor and Head of Radiology at KAMS & RC, Hyderabad. His areas of interest include Thoracic Radiology, Abdominal Radiology, Fetal Imaging including Ultrasound and MRI.

According to Dr Eshwar Chandra, more detailed imaging is providing early and accurate diagnosis, which is leading to better and more successful treatment. CT angiography is one of the greatest advances in imaging; in addition, PET CT scanning, digital mammography is a significant leap forward. In the next couple of years, imaging technology would focus more on the molecular and cellular levels; this would indeed help in looking health conditions at metabolic and physiological levels. The technology-based research focused diagnostic approach at Virinchi Hospitals helps in setting up greater standards in diagnostic imaging, establishing teaching facilities, creating avenues for research and partnering with international hospitals. Dr Chandra is interested in sports, mountaineering and networking with alumni.He is an active member of Project Krushi (a home for street children, an initiative by Association Saikorian, alumni of Sainik School Korukonda).
